Romanians COMMERCIAL MANAGER - 5 Vacancies  Positions

Reporting

  • Reports to Technical Manager (BHC) for overall compliance with company policies and procedures and to Operations Manager (BHC) for day-to-day management of projects in the country.

Objective

  • To provide Commercial Management services which promote the Company’s long-term growth and financial stability, together with achievement of the Company’s Mission.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the commercial management of the company’s activities in the country.
  • Ensure that effective commercial control of the projects is carried out in accordance with all Corporate Policies and Procedures and ensure the same by all subordinate staff.
  • Establish and maintain excellent working relationships with other staff.
  • Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with Client and Subcontractor representatives.
  • Ensure the proper preparation and submission of all applications for payment.
  • Monitor all changes and variations to contracts and obtain agreement of additional payments and extensions of time.
  • Consistent and accurate preparation of Project Budgets (together with Operations Department) and preparation of recommendations for review by Technical Manager (BHC) and Operations Manager (BHC).
  • Develop a detailed Cost Control System for each project including management of cost-to-complete forecasts.
  • Monitor progress against budget and implement necessary agreed action plans.
  • Develop the Cash Flow projections for each project.
  • Manage the key project correspondence and ensure that detailed records and files are maintained.
  • Provide commercial and contractual support to Procurement and Operations Department during the negotiation of subcontracts and supply orders. Ensure that the subcontracts and supply orders contain the necessary commercial provisions to protect the company’s interests.
  • Ensure that all necessary insurance policies are maintained and ensure that all claims against such policies are identified and processed.
  • Provide support to Estimating Departments and review tender documents for new projects to identify areas of concern or risk.
  • Carry out performance reviews of department staff and set-up training and development plans.
  • Provide training and mentoring for subordinate staff.
  • Participate in company training programmes for staff.

Key Performance Indicators

  • Accuracy of financial forecasts.
  • Delivery of predicted margins.
  • Identification of sustainable Claims and Variations.
