| Basic Function: | |
| Liaise with the Lead Construction Manager, Engineers, and Foremen to coordinate if any work on site, which might have cost implications, by performing the following duties. | |
| Duties and Responsibilities: | |
| Establish cost control methods with the Project Manager. Monitor the costs of the project and maximize its profitability. With the assistance of the Project Manager and Managing QS, review the costs and prepare reports for cost meetings.Liaise with the Client’s QS representative, prepare and agree valuations, value variations, get approval from MQS/Cm before advising client QS and prepare the final account, and keep him aware of any item that is likely to affect the final cost of the contract and regularly keep him informed of the expected final account value.Ensure that the preparation of valuation and the issue of interim certificates enable punctual payment. Monitor and update contract turnover and cashflow forecasts as required, with the assistance of Planning Engineer and Project Manager.Ensure that subcontract orders are placed in accordance with the requirements of the procurement schedule. Take part in the selection of subcontractor. Prepare PAF for selected subcontractor. Making payments, corresponding cost related subjects and agreeing final accounts.Advise the cost code and allowance of materials for preparation of PAF’s by storekeeper, and preparation of payment certificates for materials received.Cross-check material deliveries against site measurements. Protect company’s contractual position in conjunction with PM in respect of necessary correspondence, information or notices. | |
| Qualifications | |
| Graduate from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s degree in engineering or other related area, plus A minimum of seven years project engineering experience, or An equivalent combination of education and experience. |
